TFC Community Spotlight - The Brookwood Community, Brookshire, Texas

We are excited to spotlight The Brookwood Community, a wonderful residential community that provides spiritual, educational and vocational opportunities for adults with special needs in Brookshire, Texas (40 miles west of Houston)!

The purpose of our community spotlight events is to share models of high quality I/DD communities across the country, so that those of you who are looking to create or expand an I/DD community can learn from various examples.  There are many different ways to serve individuals with I/DD.  No one size fits all.  What may work for your loved ones may not work for others and vice versa.  The key is to learn from those who have gone through this process.  Their successes and failures can teach us so much and we do not have to reinvent the wheels! 

This will be our last community spotlight event for the year.
